n8n has begun the week with a major milestone. Over the weekend, the platform crossed 7,000 workflow automation templates, a number that stands out sharply in the no-code automation landscape. For a tool known for its flexibility and community-driven development, reaching this scale reflects both the maturity of the platform and the speed at which its ecosystem is growing.
A Milestone Powered by Community Contributions
In a note shared on Monday, the n8n team thanked users who regularly contribute step-by-step posts, shared workflows and community tutorials. Many of these user-built automations eventually make their way into the public template library, which is one of the reasons the numbers have climbed so quickly.
According to n8n, this milestone isn’t just about quantity. It represents thousands of real-world use cases — tasks automated, experiments shared and mini-systems built by the community.
Why 7,000 Templates Matter
For everyday users, this expanding library means less time starting from scratch and more time customising workflows to suit their needs. The templates now cover a wide range of automation categories, including:
- Marketing and lead generation
- Social media and content publishing
- CRM and email workflows
- Reporting dashboards
- Internal operations
- SaaS-to-SaaS connections
- Multi-step, conditional workflows
In an industry where most platforms measure their template collections in the hundreds, crossing 7,000 puts n8n in a different territory altogether.
A Platform Built Around Shared Knowledge
The structure of n8n’s community — open-source, transparent and conversation-heavy — has played a major role in how the template library has expanded. Automation creators often publish detailed walkthroughs, explain their logic step-by-step, and then convert those workflows into shareable templates.
This loop of building → sharing → improving has become part of the platform’s identity.
Looking Ahead
While celebrating the milestone, n8n has hinted at improvements in navigation, template organisation and personalised template recommendations. The platform also plans to expand integrations, making the 7,000-plus workflows even more adaptable for new users.
The official link to the template library is expected to be included in the announcement shared by the team.
