India has announced its first dedicated industry body for Artificial Intelligence with the launch of the Artificial Intelligence Association of India (AIAI), positioned as a central platform to guide ethical and innovation-led AI adoption across the country.
The association is being led by National Co-founder Dr. Sandeep Goyal, and is focused on bringing together stakeholders from technology, media, advertising, design, and other creative and digital-first sectors that are rapidly integrating AI into their workflows.
Mission: Ethical, Inclusive and Innovation-Led AI
According to the announcement, AIAI’s core objective is to promote ethical, inclusive and responsible AI usage, while also encouraging innovation and practical deployment across Indian businesses. The body aims to:
- Help organisations understand and implement AI safely and responsibly
- Support policy conversations around AI standards and governance
- Create a forum for collaboration between industry, academia and startups
- Encourage experimentation in creative technology, content, and marketing
The association plans to work closely with companies that are building or using AI tools, especially in areas such as digital media, marketing, automation, entertainment, and other creative industries.
Governing Board to Feature Senior Industry Leaders
AIAI has confirmed that its Governing Board will include senior leaders from top corporates and multiple creative and technology domains. The names of the board members are expected to be announced soon.
The Governing Board is likely to play a key role in:
- Setting the strategic direction of the association

- Building India’s reputation as a responsible yet ambitious AI market
A New Step for India’s AI Ecosystem
With AI adoption accelerating across sectors—from startups to large enterprises—industry observers see the launch of AIAI as a step toward giving India’s AI ecosystem a more organised voice.
By focusing on ethics, inclusivity and innovation, the Artificial Intelligence Association of India aims to act as a bridge between technology builders, creative professionals, policymakers and businesses that are still in the early stages of AI adoption.
Further details on membership, programs, and governance are expected to follow with the formal announcement of the Governing Board.
