NotebookLM has now fully rolled out the ability for chat history support for all users, both mobile and web, making it easier than ever before for users to pick up where they left off.
Seamless Cross-Device Continuity
With the updated version, users are now able to:
- Begin a chat session on mobile and resume the session immediately on web
- Pick up where conversations left off without having lost ground
- Seamlessly switch between devices when working on your notes, research, or analysis
Total Control Over Your Conversations
NotebookLM preserves confidentiality and flexibility too because it has been designed
- Chat History can be deleted anytime. Users can begin a conversation again whenever they feel like it
- In shared notebooks, chat histories are a private experience for each user, so private questions and findings don’t show up for collaborators
Importance of this Update
For students, researchers, journalists, and developers using NotebookLM for deep work, this release eliminates barriers when using multiple devices. You can be researching on one device and finishing on another or working in different environments throughout a day, and your conversations can follow you.
This represents yet another milestone on the way to creating NotebookLM a fully-integrated research companion for AI-related work.
